  • What time should I book the pickup for?

    For the way in you do not choose: we read the flight number and the driver is there when you land, however late it is. For the way back we confirm the exact time the night before, counting 60 min of road plus the check-in window.

  • Is it worth it for two people?

    The price is per vehicle, so two people pay the same $69 as four. Against two airport taxi fares it usually wins; against one, it is about even and you get a closed price and a driver who waits.

  • We are bringing a lot of luggage

    One suitcase and one carry-on per passenger is included and nothing is charged by the bag. Golf clubs, surfboards, strollers and wheelchairs fit — tell us when you book so we send the right vehicle, at no extra cost.

  • Can we stop on the way?

How long does it take to get from Cancun Airport to Playa del Carmen?
About 60 min without traffic, calculated from distance and speed limits. At rush hour it can take longer; the price stays the same.
How much is a transfer from Cancun Airport to Playa del Carmen?
From $69 per vehicle one way, with taxes, tolls and luggage included. It is a price per vehicle and not per person, so a family or a group splits it. You see the full list by vehicle further up this page.
Is the price per person or per vehicle?
Per vehicle. One price covers every seat in it, and child seats are free and do not take up a paid seat. The more of you there are, the less it costs each.
Is it cheaper than a taxi?
Almost always, and more importantly it is known in advance. Airport taxis are a concession with a fixed fare per zone, posted at the exit and not negotiable, and they usually sit well above a transfer booked ahead.
Can I use a ride app instead?
Ride apps work in the area but cannot pick up inside the airport, and at night there may be nothing available. What you find at the terminal are the authorized taxis. A booked transfer is the only option with the price closed before you land.
What happens if my flight is delayed?
Nothing. We track the flight number, the driver adjusts, and the price is the same. That is the whole reason we ask for the flight number when you book.
Can I cancel?
With the Premium fare, yes: free up to 24 hours before pickup, with no explanation and no fee, and changes are free up to 12 hours before. The Economy fare, the cheapest one, has no free cancellation, but it includes one change if you let us know at least 24 hours ahead.
Do you take us to any hotel in Playa del Carmen?
Any address inside the zone, at the same price: hotel, rental, private house or the ferry pier. If your hotel is not in the list above, type it in the search box and it will come up.
How much luggage can we bring?
One suitcase and one carry-on per passenger is included. If you are travelling with golf clubs, a surfboard or a stroller, tell us when you book and we will put you in the right vehicle at no extra cost.
Is the transfer private or shared?
Private. The vehicle is yours: no other passengers, no waiting for anyone else to land and no stops on the way unless you ask for one.
What is the distance from Cancun Airport to Playa del Carmen?
68 kilometres south along Highway 307. It is a single straight road, so there is no faster alternative route.
What is the cheapest way to get from Cancun Airport to Playa del Carmen?
The ADO bus, at around US$11 per person, is the cheapest option, but it only leaves you at the Playa del Carmen bus station and takes about 95 minutes. From there you still need a taxi to your hotel. For two people or more, a private transfer from $69 per vehicle usually costs the same or less and takes you to the door.
Can I book a round trip from Playa del Carmen back to Cancun Airport?
Yes. A private round trip is $131.33 per vehicle, less than booking the two legs separately. The return pickup time is calculated from your departure flight.
