Arriving at Grand Riviera Princess
Before you land: Grand Riviera, Grand Sunset and the right lobby
Grand Riviera Princess is half of the Princess complex south of Playa del Carmen; its mirror twin, Grand Sunset Princess, faces it across the grounds. From Cancun Airport it is 50 km, 60 min without traffic.
Two lobbies, one complex
Grand Riviera and Grand Sunset each have their own lobby and front desk, at the entrance of the resort. Platinum rooms and Laguna Villa Suites check in privately. Tell us your section and we drop you at that lobby.
A big property
The beach is about 900 m from the lobby and the farthest building about 800 m. An internal shuttle runs every 15 minutes.
The resort’s transfer
Not included; the hotel sends you to an outside company. Ours is private, priced per vehicle and paid when you book.
At check-in
Whoever checks in must be 18 or over. Playa del Carmen’s environmental fee is paid at the desk, per night. Online check-in on the hotel’s website saves time.
With kids
Kids’ Club for ages 4 to 12; from 13, guests pay the adult rate. Princess Family Club rooms have their own water park and buffet. Child seats in our vehicles are free.
Check-in and check-out
Rooms from 3 pm, check-out before noon. If you land late at night, the hotel asks you to let them know. We confirm your pickup time the day before.

How far is Grand Riviera Princess from Cancun Airport?
50 km south on Highway 307, 60 min without traffic. Downtown Playa del Carmen is about 9 km away.
Is Grand Riviera Princess the same as Grand Sunset Princess?
They are two mirror halves of the same complex, sharing restaurants, bars and pools, but each has its own lobby. Platinum Yucatán Princess, adults only, is in the same complex too.
Does Grand Riviera Princess include airport transfers?
No. The hotel refers guests to an outside company. We take you private from Cancun Airport to your lobby, at a fixed price per vehicle.
Does the driver go inside the resort?
Yes. The drop-off is at the main entrance of Grand Riviera Princess, where the bell staff are. There is no extra charge and no walking with luggage.
What if my flight is late?
We track the flight number you give us. If you land three hours late, your driver is there three hours late. No extra charge.
Is the price per person or per vehicle?
Per vehicle. Everyone who fits in the vehicle pays the same, and the price on the voucher already includes taxes and tolls.
Do you have child seats?
