Tulum Airport questions

What travellers ask us about the newest airport on this coast.

At Felipe Carrillo Puerto International Airport

Is Tulum Airport actually in Tulum?
It is 20 km southwest of Tulum town, near Felipe Carrillo Puerto. That is a 20 minute drive to town and about 40 to the beach hotels, against nearly two hours from Cancun.
TQO or TUY? Which code is right?
TQO. TUY is the old naval airstrip. The commercial airport that opened in December 2023 is TQO, and that is the code on your boarding pass.
Which airlines fly here?
Aeroméxico, Viva and Volaris domestically, plus American, Delta, United, JetBlue, Spirit, Air Canada and WestJet from the United States and Canada. Around twenty cities have direct flights.
Can I get to Cancun or Playa del Carmen from here?
Yes. Playa del Carmen is about an hour and Cancun about two. Both are normal routes for us.
Is there a Tren Maya station?
Yes, right next to the terminal, connected by an electric shuttle. It is useful for Merida and Valladolid, less so for your hotel.
Where does my driver wait?
Outside the arrivals doors on the lower level, holding an eTransfers sign. There is one terminal, so there is nothing to get wrong.

The same at every airport

How do I find my driver?
Outside the arrivals doors of your terminal, holding an eTransfers sign. Your confirmation shows the exact spot for your terminal.
What if my flight is delayed?
We track it. The driver adjusts and there is no extra charge for delays.
How long will the driver wait?
Sixty minutes after landing on international flights, thirty on domestic. The immigration lineup does not count against you.
Is the price final?
Yes. Fixed price per vehicle, taxes and fees included. The driver never asks for a fare.
Is the price per person or per vehicle?
Per vehicle, always. Six people in one van pay what one person pays.
Do you have child seats?
Yes, free. Add them when you book and they are fitted before you land.
Can I change my pickup time?
Yes, from your booking. With Premium it is free up to 12 hours before; with Economy you get one included change with 24 hours’ notice.
Do drivers speak English?
Yes, English and Spanish at every airport we serve.
Can I book after landing?
You can, but the online price is lower and the driver is already there. Two minutes before you fly saves you the lineup.
What if I cannot find my driver?
Message us on WhatsApp, 24/7. Never accept a ride from someone who approached you; we locate your driver in minutes.
