What to expect
Close to Tulum lies Xel-Há, a nature park built around an inlet where fresh water from underground rivers meets the Caribbean Sea. The plan here is easy: grab a mask, get in the water and let the day unfold, with food and drinks already taken care of.
Snorkeling is unlimited, and fins and mask come with your ticket, so you can explore the inlet as many times as you like among colorful fish and rock formations. You can also float down the river on an inner tube, surrounded by mangroves, until it opens toward the sea.
For the big picture, head up the Lighthouse Lookout, which offers 360-degree views from 40 meters high and a slide that drops you straight into the water. If you'd rather stay on dry land, there are jungle trails, caves, cenotes, plus rope courses and jumps for anyone after a bit more excitement.
Since it is all-inclusive, you start with a continental breakfast, move on to snacks and a buffet lunch, and enjoy soft drinks and an open bar during your visit. Lockers, changing rooms and showers mean you don't have to carry a thing.
