What to expect
JOYÀ is Cirque du Soleil's resident show in Mexico and the only one in the company's lineup that you can pair with dinner. It plays in a theater built just for it, surrounded by jungle inside VidantaWorld in the Riviera Maya.
The story follows Joyà, a spirited teenager who travels into the jungle to find her grandfather, an old alchemist determined to pass on his drive to uncover life's secrets. Helped by a band of fantastical creatures, she dives into Mexico's history and traditions and grows closer to him along the way.
Expect 80 minutes with no intermission of trampoline acrobatics, hand balancing on canes, trapeze, hoops and aerial acts, set to music and wrapped in costumes and stage design packed with detail.
You choose how to spend the evening: show only, in regular seats or high stools; Elite seats; Celebration, with premium seats, drinks, appetizers and a keepsake; or Show & Dinner and VIP Show & Dinner, where a meal made with local ingredients and a musical prelude set the mood before the curtain rises.
