Arriving at Puerto Vallarta Airport
One hall stands between you and your driver, and it is worth knowing what it is.

Arrival instructions, step by step
Puerto Vallarta has the most persistent timeshare hall in Mexico, and knowing that before you land is half the battle.
Immigration
Have your passport and hotel name ready. PVR is efficient; the slow window is late morning when the Canadian and US flights arrive together.
Baggage claim and customs
Collect your bags and press the customs button. Green and you walk on, red and your bag goes through the scanner.
The timeshare hall
This is the one to know about. After customs you walk through a corridor of desks in airline-style uniforms. They will tell you they are “airport information”, ask for your hotel and offer a free ride. They sell timeshare presentations. Some will say your driver is waiting at their booth. They are not.
Keep walking and go outside
Cross the arrivals hall and go out the doors. Nobody inside the building is your driver.
Cross to the pickup lane
The pickup lane is across a small road from the terminal, under the covered walkway. This is where authorized transport waits.
Find the sign
Your driver holds an eTransfers sign at the lane, not inside. Photo and plate are in MyTrip before you land.
Meeting point by terminal
Your confirmation names your terminal. Here is where we stand at each one.
Across the pickup lane, by the eTransfers sign.
3 min walk · Aeroméxico, Aeroméxico Connect, Viva…Across the pickup lane, by the eTransfers sign.
4 min walk · American, Delta, United…How to recognize your driver

- Name and photoSent by WhatsApp the evening before, with the vehicle plates.
- The eTransfers signBlue sign, white logo, your name in large letters.
- Uniform and vehicleNavy polo with the logo. The vehicle model and plates match your message.
- Live locationAsk IAN and we send the driver’s live location while you walk out.
Avoid the timeshare hall and pirate taxis
They are not airport staff and they are not information. They are timeshare sales, and the free ride costs you a ninety-minute presentation. Say no thanks and keep walking.
Nobody inside the terminal is your driver. Ours wait outside, across the pickup lane, holding an eTransfers sign.
To pick up inside PVR, GAP — the group that runs the airport — requires each vehicle’s registration, carrying the federal plates and the SICT permit, plus current insurance and several other requirements. Whoever cannot meet them waits outside the perimeter, with no passenger insurance and a price that changes halfway.
Driver name, photo and plate are in MyTrip before you land. If they do not match, do not get in.
What happens if your flight moves
- We track your flight numberFrom the moment you book. If the schedule moves, we move the pickup before you land.
- The driver waits, at no chargeSixty minutes after landing on international flights, thirty on domestic. Immigration lines never count against you.
- If you miss the flight entirelyMessage us with the new flight number. With Premium, changing the date or the time is free up to 12 hours before the original pickup; with Economy it is your one included change, with 24 hours’ notice. Outside those windows, we move it subject to availability.
