eTransfers service prices are per vehicle. You can find services from 1 to 14 people per vehicle.

4.- How many people does a eTransfers Van Hold?

Private Transportation Vans at eTransfers holds up to 8 people. Vans may take up to 14 people in group transportation service with prior notification from the guest or by booking in advance through our website. Airport Taxis only can take up to 3 people, and Luxury Transportation SUVs take up to 5 people.

5.- How do I find eTransfers at the Cancun Airport?

You can find us inside and outside the airport. We have sales modules in terminals 3 and 4. You can also book through our website so that a driver will take you directly to your hotel or destination when you arrive at the airport.

6.- What kind of vehicles does eTransfers use?

eTransfers uses premium vehicles such as SUVs, Crafters, Passenger Vans, and Sedans for Taxi services to and from the airport.

7.- Does eTransfers have insurance?

Yes, all your transfer services include passenger insurance for you and your companions.

8.- Does eTransfers offer baby seats in its airport transfer or excursion services?

Yes, we offer baby seats free of charge in all our transportation services from/to airport, hotels, tours, and even restaurants in the Riviera Maya.

9.- How far in advance do I need to book my Cancun airport transfer?

Although you can make the reservation anytime, we recommend booking a week (or even a day) in advance, but eTransfers will always be able to give you a last-minute same-day reservation. At eTransfers, we work hard to provide you with the best and fastest service.

10.- Does the airport in Cancun takes international flights?

Yes. Cancun Airport is an international airport that receives international and domestic flights. Cancun Airport is the second most used airport in Mexico.

11.- Where is Cancun located?

Cancun is on the northeast of the Yucatán Peninsula. It is a great place to visit since it has beautiful places like the Riviera Maya. If you want to visit destinations like Tulum, Playa del Carmen, Chichen Itza, or others, you must first come to Cancun.

12.- Is there an exit tax at Cancun airport?

Cancun airport charges an exit tax, which is usually included in your flight ticket. Please check with your airline to see if this fee is included. The tax fee is approximately $50 USD, depending on the exchange rate.

13.- How far are the hotels from Cancun Airport?

The Cancun Hotel Zone and Downtown Cancun are about 20 – 30 minutes from the Airport.

Hotels in Playa Mujeres are 30 – 40 minutes from Cancun Airport.

Hotels in Puerto Morelos are further away, but since there is a highway, the drive from the Airport is 30 – 40 minutes.

The drive is approximately 60 minutes from the airport for hotels in Playa del Carmen.

Hotels in Tulum are about 1:30 – 2 hours from the Cancun airport.

For transportation to the hotels in Cozumel, eTransfers will take you to the ferry terminal in Playa del Carmen. Once you arrive, you can take a transfer service from the ferry to your hotel.

For transportation to the hotels in Isla Mujeres, eTransfers will take you to the ferry terminal in Puerto Juarez.

14.- What is the best way to get from Cancun Airport to my hotel?

There are several ways to get to Cancun city and Hotel Zone.

  • Of course, the best option is eTransfers to your hotel.
  • There are cabs, but we don't recommend them as they are more expensive than booking in advance.
  • ADO Bus Shuttle. A good idea if you are OK with waiting hours in line.

15.- Are there cabs outside the Cancun airport?

This is a tricky question. Yes and no. Regular cabs are not allowed inside the airport (the ones from the city). If you want to take one of these cabs, you have to go outside the airport, and by that I really mean outside Cancun Airport, to the main road, which is about 2 kilometers from the main Cancun Airport building.

The other “taxis” at the airport are actually private transportation companies that the airport has allowed to have a counter there, but the prices are very high.

For this reason, most travelers reserve their Cancun airport transportation before they arrive.

16.- Which airlines fly to Cancun airport?

All major airlines from the United States and Canada fly to Cancun Airport with direct or connecting flights.

All major airlines from Europe and South America also fly to Cancun.

17.- How can I contact the Cancun airport lost and found office?

The main number for Cancun International Airport Lost and Found is (998) 848 7200, for Cancun Airport Terminal 3 dial extension 1282, for Cancun Airport Terminal 1 dial extension 1251.

18.- How many Terminals are there at the Cancun Airport?

Four terminals, the Cancun International Airport has four terminals. There is a free shuttle available to travel between terminals.

19.- How can I get from One terminal to another one at the Cancun Airport?

There are several ways to get from one terminal to another at the Cancun Airport. One option is to walk, as the terminals are located close to each other and connected by a pedestrian walkway. Another option is to take the airport shuttle bus, which is free and regularly runs between the terminals.

20.-Is the Cancun Airport open 24 Hours?

The Cancun International Airport is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

21.- Are there ATM’s at the Cancun Airport?

Yes, there are ATMs (Automatic Teller Machines) at the Cancun International Airport. They can be found in various terminals near baggage claim areas and check-in counters.

22.- How much time in advance should I show up at the Cancun Airport before departure time for my flight?

It is generally recommended to arrive at the airport at least 2 hours before your scheduled departure time for domestic flights and 3 hours for international flights.

23.- Do I need a VISA to go to Cancun?

Cancun is located in Mexico, and whether you require a visa to enter the country depends on your citizenship and the length of your stay.

Citizens of the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and several other countries can enter Mexico without a visa for stays of up to 180 days as Tourists. However, you must present a valid passport at the border.

Other nationalities may require a visa to enter Mexico. It's best to check with the nearest Mexican consulate or embassy if you need clarification on the visa requirements. You may also need a tourist card, which can be obtained through the airlines (usually provided on your flight) or at the airport upon arrival.

24.- Do I need special Vaccinations to enter Mexico?

Mexico does not currently have any specific vaccination requirements for entry. However, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) does recommend that travelers be up to date on routine vaccinations, such as the measles-mumps-rubella (MMR) vaccine, diphtheria-tetanus-pertussis vaccine, varicella (chickenpox) vaccine, polio vaccine, and your yearly flu shot.

25.- Does the Cancun Airport Transportation service includes beers?

If you want snacks or drinks, we offer them as a courtesy, as long as you book a taxi service from our site and inform us that you wish to have some beers during your transfer. However, it is essential to note that these are complementary, and if you order more drinks, there may be an extra cost.

26.- Where can I find you at the Playa del Carmen ferry, so you can take me to the Cancun Airport?

27.- Can I book with eTranfsers if I am already at the airport?

Yes, we can take reservations for people who have just arrived at Cancun Airport. You can find one of our representatives outside terminals 3 and 4. We recommend you book in advance on our website, so you don't have to wait in line.

28.- Is there any other way (other than PayPal) that I can use to pay for my transportation service with eTransfers?

You can pay with PayPal, credit card, and also cash if you book through our website and pay cash upon arrival at Cancun Airport.

29.- Do the vehicles of eTransfers have AC?

Yes, for your comfort, all our vehicles have air conditioning.

30.- What happens if my flight gets delayed? Will eTransfers wait for us?

Yes, we will wait for your arrival. When you make your reservation, we will ask you for your airline and flight number. This way, we can determine if your flight is delayed, and we will wait for you.

33.- Can we stop to buy food on the way to the hotel?

Yes, you can make a stop with prior notice. Also, with the premium service, you can have a courtesy stop.

34. Do children pay the same price as adults for our service?

Yes, each passenger must be seated separately, so children count as passengers when using eTransfers. The price of our services is per vehicle.

35. What happens if I accidentally leave something in the car?

The company is not responsible for items left in the vehicles. However, we recommend that you contact us by phone as soon as you notice an item missing, since our vehicles are used immediately after each trip.

36. Is my reservation refundable?

You may cancel your reservation with us up to 12 hours prior to departure without incurring a penalty fee. After 12 hours, there are no refunds.

37. Is it required by the Mexican government that babies sit in special car seats?

No, but we recommend that you request a baby seat. We will do our best to fulfill your request.

38. Do the drivers speak English?

Yes, all drivers at eTransfers speak English. Although they don’t speak like a native, they have enough knowledge of the language to communicate with you.

39. How long does it take to get your vehicle once you get to the airport?

Once you contact an eTransfers representative, they will take you to your private vehicle.

40. What if we can not find a representative at the airport?

eTransfers personnel are always available. Chances are they are just loading another family into a vehicle. On your transfer confirmation, you will find our local and toll-free phone numbers. Please call us and we will quickly find a representative for you.

41. If I book a round trip, do I need to confirm the pickup and return?

If you book with eTransfers, you do not need to confirm your return trip, but you are welcome to do so via chat, email, or by calling our toll-free numbers.

42. You made a reservation but did not receive a confirmation email?

First, we recommend that you check your spam or junk mail first. If you have not received anything, please contact eTransfers at bookings@etransfers.com so that we can verify that your reservation has been made and, in any case, resend you the confirmation.

43. Do you only offer trips to Cancun or also to other places in the Riviera Maya?

44. Is tipping the driver mandatory?

Tipping is not mandatory, but it is highly recommended. Tip the driver if he helps you with your luggage, showing you around. Drivers are HEAVILY dependent on tips, but they know they have to earn them, just like waiters.

45. If my flight arrives early in the morning or late at night, can I still get service?

Of course, as long as you make the reservation at least one day in advance, our operations department can ensure that a driver will be waiting for you upon arrival.

46. What currencies can we use to pay for our reservation?

Our prices are in USD, but with PayPal, you can use almost any currency. If you pay cash, we accept USD, CAD, and MXN

47. Are your transfer services pet friendly?

eTransfers can transport pets as long as they are in a kennel, or it is a guide dog.

48. Is there enough space in the vehicles for luggage?
