Helicopter transfers and flights
There are two ways to use it. The first is as a transfer: from the airport or your Cancun hotel to Tulum, the Riviera Maya or any point with a helipad, when time on the road is not worth it. The second is a scenic flight: a loop over the Hotel Zone, the Nichupte lagoon and the coast, out and back to the same helipad.
Flights are run by air taxi companies licensed by Mexico's aviation authority. Helicopters take off and land only at authorized helipads or airstrips, so there is almost always a short drive at the start or the end. We cover that drive too.
Weight matters, so we will ask how many are flying and how much luggage you have. With large suitcases it often makes sense to send the bags by road in a van while you fly.
