Which VIP lounges are at Cancun Airport?
ASUR, the airport operator, lists two lounge brands: MERA Business Lounge and Business Lounge Global (The Lounge), both with lounges in Terminals 2, 3 and 4. Most are in the gate area, so you check in and clear security first.
MERA lounges are paid per person and by time: 3 hours is the standard stay, with 4- and 6-hour options. They include Wi-Fi, buffet, open bar, charging stations and a concierge, and they are pet friendly. In Terminal 3 it has an upper-floor lounge open 5:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., plus a rooftop lounge (Roof).
Each lounge is in your airline's terminal, and you can't switch terminals inside the airport once you are past security. Before paying, check your boarding pass for your departure terminal.
Some credit cards and lounge programs, such as Priority Pass, give access to certain of these lounges. Check your card or program app for the one that applies in your terminal before you pay at the door.

How to reach the VIP lounge on time
The airport is about 20 to 30 minutes from the Cancun Hotel Zone, about 50 minutes from Playa del Carmen and close to 2 hours from Tulum. To enjoy the lounge without rushing, arrive about 3 hours before an international flight: after check-in and security you have roughly the standard lounge stay left.
With a private transfer you leave the hotel when you choose and the driver drops you at your terminal door, with no hunting for a taxi with luggage or waiting for a bus. For groups or families, the price is per vehicle, not per person.
