Arriving at Riu Cancun
Before you land: which Riu is yours, and how arrival works
Hotel Riu Cancun is at km 9 of Boulevard Kukulcán, at Punta Cancún, with a shopping mall 20 m from the entrance. From the airport it is 20 km, 25 min without traffic.
The hotel next door
Riu Palace Las Americas is on the adjoining lot at km 8.5, about 240 m away. Same block, different hotel and different reception: check the name on your booking.
The other Riu hotels in Cancun
Riu Caribe and Riu Palace Peninsula share an address at km 5.5, about 3 km away; Riu Palace Kukulkan is at km 12; Riu Latino, Riu Dunamar and Riu Palace Costa Mujeres are in Costa Mujeres, north of the city. Each one is a different drive.
Airport transfer
Riu does not include one with this hotel; its own FAQ says to book a transfer in advance or take a taxi. Ours is private, priced per vehicle and paid when you book.

No, it is not included. Riu suggests booking a transfer ahead or taking a taxi at the airport. We take you private from Cancun Airport to the door, at a fixed price per vehicle.
How long is the drive from Cancun Airport to Riu Cancun?
20 km along Boulevard Kukulcán, 25 min without traffic. The hotel is at km 9, at Punta Cancún.
Is Riu Cancun adults only?
Yes, guests must be 18 or over. For a family trip, check the other Riu hotels in Cancun before you book.
Does the driver go inside the resort?
Yes. The drop-off is at the main entrance of Hotel Riu Cancun, where the bell staff are. There is no extra charge and no walking with luggage.
What if my flight is late?
We track the flight number you give us. If you land three hours late, your driver is there three hours late. No extra charge.
