La Vaquita is one of Grupo Mandala's clubs, the same company behind Mandala and Mandala Beach. It sits in Punta Cancun, the nightlife strip at km 9 of the Hotel Zone, steps from Coco Bongo.
Its signature is the liter: the operator describes it as famous for its liter-size drinks, open-format music and irreverent vibe. Expect hip hop, R&B, top 40 hits and reggaeton sets under neon lights.
Unlike Coco Bongo, there is no stage show here: it is a dance floor and a bar. Compared with Mandala, its neighbor from the same group, it bills itself as the most laid-back club in the Hotel Zone.

How to get to La Vaquita Cancun
La Vaquita is in Punta Cancun, the heart of the Hotel Zone: about 15 to 25 minutes by car from hotels at km 15 to 20, about 15 from downtown Cancun and around 1 hour 10 minutes from Playa del Carmen.
Closing time is 3:00 am, when almost every club at km 9 lets out at once. With a round-trip private transfer you choose your return time when you book and the driver waits for you; for groups, the price is per vehicle, not per person.
