What is Coco Bongo Playa del Carmen?
It is Coco Bongo's Playa del Carmen venue, with the same format as Cancun: acrobats, music tributes and a big audiovisual production, alternating with the party on the dance floor and an open bar all night.
Inside there is general admission, with no reserved seats, and a Gold Member area with seating on the 2nd and 3rd levels; Front Row is the first row of that area, with an unobstructed view. Groups can reserve a table.
The lineup changes by season. In September 2026 it featured Beetlejuice, Egypt, a Queen tribute and the Macarena, where the audience goes up on stage. The main show starts at 10:00 pm, although the time may vary.
Compared with Cancun, the Regular ticket here stayed at USD 90 even on Saturdays, when Cancun started at USD 140, and it is closed on Mondays. Coco Bongo also advertises an Early Show from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at this venue, with the same acts and entry from age 12; in late September 2026 it had no dates on sale.

How to get to Coco Bongo Playa del Carmen
From hotels in downtown Playa del Carmen or Playacar it is 5 to 15 minutes by car. From Puerto Aventuras it is about 25 minutes, from Tulum close to 1 hour, from Cancun airport about 50 minutes and from the Cancun Hotel Zone around 1 hour 15 minutes. Coco Bongo offers no transportation in Playa del Carmen; the operator recommends a taxi.
The tricky part is the ride back: the party ends at 3:00 am, and many Riviera Maya resorts are 20 to 40 minutes away by highway. With a round-trip private transfer you choose your return time when you book and the driver waits for you; nobody has to drive or haggle over a taxi fare in the middle of the night.
