What is the Isla Mujeres Clear Boat?
It is the island version of the clear boat: a boat with a 100% transparent hull that lets you see the bottom without getting wet. It is run by Envatours, the same company behind the clear boat in Nichupte Lagoon, and its booking system lists it as "The Island Tour".
It leaves Marina Bartolomé on Rueda Medina Avenue in downtown Isla Mujeres. It heads toward El Farito and Playa Norte while you watch the marine life through the hull, stops at Playa Norte for photos with the turquoise water behind you, and returns to the marina through the channel into the island.
The tour starts on the island, not in Cancun: you take the ferry first and then walk to the marina. If you would rather not cross, Envatours runs another clear boat in Nichupte Lagoon, in the Cancun Hotel Zone.

How to get to Isla Mujeres Clear Boat
From Cancun you cross to Isla Mujeres on the Ultramar ferry, which leaves from Puerto Juarez and, in the Hotel Zone, from Playa Tortugas and Playa Caracol. The ferry docks downtown, on the same Rueda Medina Avenue where Marina Bartolomé is.
A private transfer takes you from your hotel to the ferry terminal and picks you up when you get back to Cancun, with no hunting for a taxi and no bus schedules. If you are staying in Playa del Carmen or farther south, plan on more than an hour of driving to the terminal.
