Arriving at Esperanza
Before you land: the way into Punta Ballena
Esperanza sits inside Punta Ballena, a private community at km 7 of the Transpeninsular highway, just east of Cabo San Lucas. From Los Cabos Airport (SJD) it is 48 km on the toll highway, 45 min without traffic.
The turn into Punta Ballena
Past the Cabo del Sol bridge you make the U-turn at Santa Carmela and turn right into Punta Ballena. Hotel guests go through the Main Gate to the Hotel Arrivals Court by reception; the Villas have a gate of their own.
The resort’s transfer
Esperanza charges 215 USD per way for its private transfer; Casona guests get it free. Ours is private too, priced per vehicle and paid when you book.
Bring your passport
Reception asks for your physical passport at check-in. The person on the booking must be 18, and the resort keeps your luggage if you arrive early or leave late.
With kids
All ages are welcome: kids club for 5 to 11, teens club for 12 to 17, and two adults-only pools. Child seats in our vehicles are free.
Sister resort
There is free transport to Chileno Bay, the other Auberge resort in Los Cabos.

How much is the Esperanza airport transfer?
The resort charges 215 USD per way for its private car. Ours is private as well, at a fixed price per vehicle, not per person.
What do I need at check-in at Esperanza?
Your physical passport. The person on the booking must be 18 or over.
Does the driver go inside the resort?
Yes. The drop-off is at the main entrance of Esperanza, where the bell staff are. There is no extra charge and no walking with luggage.
What if my flight is late?
We track the flight number you give us. If you land three hours late, your driver is there three hours late. No extra charge.
Is the price per person or per vehicle?
Per vehicle. Everyone who fits in the vehicle pays the same, and the price on the voucher already includes taxes and tolls.
