Cancun Airport transportation choices from terminal to hotel door
ASUR publishes ADO at terminals 2, 3 and 4, and taxis at terminals 2 and 3. Whatever else a seller advertises, the option you choose has to be authorised to pick you up there and has to finish the route — the station or the pier is not your hotel door.
Five modes, and one that is not allowed
ADO
Scheduled stations, and then a last mile that is still yours to solve.
Authorized taxi
Bought at the airport counter. Confirm the total and the destination before the car moves.
Rental car
Read insurance, deposit, fuel policy, extra driver and the return conditions.
Private transfer
Tied in advance to your flight, group, luggage and the exact property.
Hotel ride
Ask who operates it, where it meets you, how many stops it makes and whether the room rate covers it.
The last mile changes the answer
Hotel Zone, Costa Mujeres, Playa del Carmen, Tulum, and an island ferry require different routes. A station or pier is not the final hotel.
Compare written terms
Check currency, taxes, tolls, waiting, cancellation, changes, capacity, luggage, and requested child seat. Economy and premium can apply to the same vehicle.
Start with the terminal
Use the airport guide and the Hotel Zone route.
Traveler questions
Does ADO reach every hotel?
Can I request a ride-hailing app at the terminal?
Are taxis published at every passenger terminal?
Does premium always mean another vehicle?
